Always wanted to try yoga?

 

Everyone has the ability to start and flourish in yoga, regardless of age, level of flexibility and physical condition.  The yoga series is recommended for those new to yoga and for more experienced students who wish to establish a regular practice. 

 

No pressure! This class is meant to be apporached with an attitude of playful curiousity.  Students will be encouraged to have fun while developing a practice with awareness of their body and it's needs.

Navigate the labyrinth of parenthood one breath at a time with yoga!  These classes offer a lovely bonding experience for parent and child!  Classes are stress free, moms are encouraged to change, feed,  or walk with baby during class as needed.​ Tots enjoy both poses and circle time.

Once we were all able to pull our toes up by our ears and laugh about it. Then we aged, got injured, and then began carrying stress in our shoulders and back!  This yoga series for parent and baby provides a soothing atmosphere that encourages your baby to begin to experience their body's interaction with the world around them. Babies are born yogis.This class encourages improvisation and play and will provide for you a fun, positive and energetic social setting to enhance your relationship with not only your wee one, but also other parents and children. .

 

Mom/Dad and Tot Yoga:, the thought of your child practicing yoga, sitting quietly, breathing, and stretching can be difficult to imagine. It’s even harder to imagine that our children are stressed out in todays fast-paced lifestyle.  This class involves singing, running, poses, relaxation, dancing, breath work, story and fables.

 

Come to yoga and spend time with baby in a fun, relaxed and supportive environment.

Practice without strain, enhance your practice with students at the same level

 

Ease pain and tension, improve posture, flexibility and balance, and learn to move with more fluidity. Comfortable, easy movements are explored to help you learn to move in new ways which place less strain on your body during everyday activities.

 

A safe class for those who are interested in increasing stamina, strength and balance.  This class offers gentle stretches and poses are gradually introduced.  Some of the class is done seated and some poses are done standing.  The chair offers balance and support. Yoga poses in this class never require strain or struggle and are similar to versions of relaxation and stretching poses practiced in other yoga classes.

 

This class provides a unique yoga series that was specifically designed for yogis 55+, those with limited mobility, and/or those recovering from injury.  Chair Yoga can help you to increase joint mobility while decreasing arthritis, joint pain and inflammation. The poses also stimulate and soothes the organs. You will find this class  gentle and soothing no matter what your age or level of ability.

Prenatal Yoga is a great practice for supporting physical fitness, easing discomforts, and encouraging mental and emotional balance during pregnancy.


It can help mothers-to-be connect with their bodies and their babies and also provides movements, relaxation, and awareness that can be utilized in labor and beyond.


Labor is one of the most physical things you'll ever do.  You would not run a marathon without preparation: come see how yoga can help you get prepared.

Moms, are you looking for something fun and different to do with your daughter? Join other like-minded moms and daughters for Mother-Daughter Yoga! 

 

This class welcomes all ages!  No previous yoga experience required.  Yoga is better when practiced together. No yoga experience necessary. The practice will be tailored to suit all participants using postures, traditional sequences, breath work and relaxation.

 

If you want to do something active, and beneficial that both Mother and Daughter will be interested in, this is it! Come and practice yoga together in a positive, supportive and non-competitive environment.

Couples Yoga

 

Bring along your significant other for a playful exploration of yoga, together! No experience needed. Invite along that special someone in your life, a good friend, an old buddy, and share your practice together.  Bring a “significant other”—a partner, spouse, friend or child age 16 or older—to share a playful evening learning partner-assisted yoga poses you can do at home.Partner Yoga is a great way to introduce someone to yoga. No yoga experience required. Working with a partner also helps the experienced yogi stretch more deeply.

​ Get your children in balance with their bodies. This fun new program will introduce children to basic yoga positions through games and activities. Yoga improves balance, flexibility, coordination and confidence.

 

My Kids classes are full of smooth moves, , breath work, songs, fables, games and fitness!  At the end of each session we relax with simple stories and meditation. Parents and caregivers are welcome to stay and join us for an extra $5.00 each.

Flow Yoga   
 Mondays at 1:00pm and 8:00pm, Wednesdays at 12:15pm &  7:00pm, & Fridays at 1:00pm

Flow synchronizes breathing and movement in the postures, improves blood circulation and helps to relieve joint pain and remove toxins and disease from the internal organs.  In flow yoga, there is a higher caloric burn due to the aerobic nature of the class.. This Flow Yoga class builds core strength, balance, and flexibility in a dynamic practice of yoga. Work your body from the inside out in fluid sequences that integrate the strengthening, lengthening and toning to a flowing, breath-focused practice. This physically challenging class ends with deep relaxation

 

Yoga ​at Crossroads Park
Yoga in the great outdoors!          

Join me at Crossroads Park in Alcona for some fresh air, and FREE YOGA!

 

EDGE YOGA will bring this incredible experience to the people of Alcona and anyone else who would like to join us! All ages welcome! Come alone or bring the kids to stretch -or let them play at the playground!

Just show up at the park a little before class is scheduled to begin. Look for the yoga mats - I've found that a blanket sometimes works better than a mat when you are on grass. If it is raining or if the grass is too wet we won't be doing yoga that day. So if the grass is dry come on over!

Yoga by the lake!

Start your day by letting go of your troubles and find tranquility through stretching and deep meditation by one of the most relaxing places around- Innisfil Beach! Listen to the sounds of the lake and the waves crashing to the shore.
